Blast From the Past Series: Fifteen

This is a Canadian teenage soap and one of the stars is a young Ryan Reynolds. It was the first soap I ever watched. Looking back on it it cracks me up how unbelievably corny the dialogue is on this show. It's still endearing it its own way, but still corny. It's kind of like the Canadian version of "Sweet Valley High" (another blast from the past for another time).

Blast From the Past Series: You Can't Do That on Television

I remember when my parents, sister and I moved from Freehold to Beverly, NJ when I was three. It was here when we bought our first VCR, and when we finally got cable television, I was in love. (I wish I had the converter box still because I'd love to dig it out and look at how ancient the technology of the 80's seem nowadays. Back when you had to get up off your ass to change the channels.

I fell in love with Nickelodeon the first time I watched it. One of my favorite shows was "You Can't Do That on Television" (you'll notice a very young Alanis Morrisette as a cast member). It was a sort of a Canadian version of Monty Python's Flying Circus for children.
