Irish Twins

My favorite married couple in the world is having another baby.

They already have a 1 1/2 year old (approx I forget her birthday :\ ) That makes them Irish twins! (The term is used to describe two children born to the same mother in the same calendar year or within twelve months of each other.)

They just found out and I'm already anxious to see if it's a boy or a girl!

Counting Down to April Fool's Day

Before I know it, Lexi will be five.  I can't believe that she's in school and she's going to be five!

I've been acting like a typical mom and looking misty-eyed at all her baby pictures.  She was never petite even as a newborn.  She sprouted and continues to sprout fast.

We're having a very small party at McDonald's this year, and I've managed to get a game for us to play along with the Play Place.  It's a Spongebob theme.  I ordered all the decorations and party favors online and I'll pick up Mylar balloons and maybe a "birthday girl" T shirt for Mini Me if they have them at Party City.

I'll have lots of pictures and videos to post and share.

The Unknown

The thing about the "unknown" is that it will ALWAYS be there. That is something you cannot control.

Your best defense is a good offense.

In sports, in marriage, in life.

Compromise, and compatibility, not perfection.

You must be best friends first before you can ever hope to make it in the long term sense. Soul mates come in all shapes, sizes, and they do not even have to be human: they could be your childhood pet, your favorite painting, a book that changed your life forever.

This year has been quite rough on me in a lot of ways. It has not been easy getting used to the vast changes I have had to undergo. Some of them were easy, some of them were downright nerve wracking. However, I think that it will cause me to be a better version of myself starting 2011.

I ran into someone this year whom seems to only ever see me when I am at my most depressed. I wish things were different and I could have been more of a friend to her the last time we were together, but I had so much on my mind and I didn't feel like myself at all. I know she could tell plain as day that I had a thing or to that was really bothering me. But she was really nice to me and checked in on me once in a while, and for that I was and still am grateful. There have been strangers I'd just met this year who have shown me more kindness that people I have known my entire life never gave me. I guess sometimes you really can depend on the kindness of strangers.
