I have the whole world sitting right across from me at this very moment.
Ever since I can remember, I have wanted a daughter. A little version of me. I wanted to have a fabulous journalism and writing career and I would have my very own Mini Me by my side.
It was amazing when Lexi was born. From the first time I held her I couldn't believe that I had help make something that really does look exactly like me (if you saw my baby pictures and Lexi's baby pictures, you would think we were sisters).
After the birth of my daughter I realized I was better off, as I said in my last GBE post, being a freelance writer and blogger. I get to write what I want when I want, and I have Mini Me as my secretary.
That to me is success.
(If you are coming from the GBE2, don't forget to leave the link to your GBE blog so I can visit you! I myself have two different accounts that I comment blogs on)
That is wonderful. I always wanted a daughter, but I'm happy with my only son. I would love to have a career as a writer, but I'll be happy doing whatever fate wants. Great post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post!! Having a daughter is one of life's biggest blessings, (as is having a son). I have two daughters and they both look a lot like me...maybe not a mini-me...but close enough! You are so right..you have found SUCCESS!!

That's great! I've always wished that I could have a daughter! You're very blessed!
ReplyDelete@Diana: if i only had a son i'd be just as happy too, but i feel like God heard my prayers and gave her to me to make up for the many hardships I have had to go through. Thank you for stopping by!
ReplyDelete@Jenn: Lexi has these big beautiful blue eyes with these amazing thick lashes and beautiful naturally curly hair (same color as mine and mine is wavy). Still she looks just like me but with a different eye color. All children are a blessing!
@Marian: thank you and thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right...that is success! I'm so glad that your dreams are coming true--you deserve all things beautiful! ♥
ReplyDelete@Word Nerd: Thank you!

ReplyDeleteMy daughter has 2 sons and is pregnant now, she believes it will be another son, but it is to early to determine it. For her joy, I wish she has a daughter.

It does make you feel like a success when you have kids, especially if they are wonderful.
ReplyDelete@pbquig: well god bless your friend and I hope she has a girl to. I have a friend who's the eldest of four boys!

@Kathy29156:
ReplyDeleteI envy those who get one of each! That's what happened to my best friend: she had a son and she was surprised with her daughter not too long after her son was born.
Thanks for stopping by!
@Tony Payne: I've been told there's nothing like raising a child, watching it grow etc. Now I really know what they mean!
Thanks for stopping by!
My sons are my best successful moments in my lifetime, so I can relate with what you wrote...
