Mini Me is Autistic.

It's official.

She starts her "special classes" in the beginning of July. I'm actually really excited because she's showing so much promise already. I kind of want to cry too. All those who have kids feel lucky when ur child says "Mommy/Daddy I love you" because it's been 4 1/2 years and I still have never heard it.

I've been there...where you hear officially your daughter has Autism. You want to cry, yet you are so relieved because now you know...not that KNOWING makes it better...but it gives you a focus.

My daughter was 3 years and 2 months when she was preliminarily diagnosed, officially at 3 years and 8 months. She was pretty much non-verbal. I will share with you anytime you are ready...because I know you probably have a million things going through your head. I'll just say that my daughter is now almost 13 and she seems pretty darn typical and she's completely verbal.

There is promise and there is hope and you will be amazed if she is showing promise it will grow and flourish in leaps and bounds!!

    (((HUGS AGAIN))) to you.
