GBE2 Week #15: Longing

This is a poem I wrote a while ago:

I let it begin

Only to realize;

it isn't enough

I could have you in every way imaginable

Every night for the rest of my life

It wouldn't satisfy me.

I need the taste of you on my tongue

I need to explode all over yours

I need to control you

I need to submit to you

Too many thoughts in a day

Not enough chances to fulfill them.

In a sense, I am grateful to you.

You made me realize

I am still very much alive.

  1. Great poem. Sparse, not flowery, just good plain language that says exactly what it needs to. Love it.
